  • 28th Annual CMA General Service Conference

The 28th annual CMA General Service Conference has selected New York City to be the host in 2023, and we need YOU! We are asking the fellowship of NYCMA to come up with a theme for this year’s conference. All theme ideas are welcome!

We last hosted the conference in 2010—our theme was “Always in Service.” Although it’s not a requirement for the word “Service” to be in the title, it has been a tradition. The theme should at least be related to the concept of service based in New York City.

    Examples of past themes:

    • 2021 – Dallas: “Deep in the Heart of Service”
    • 2020 – Virtual: “New Frontiers in Service”
    • 2019 – Fort Lauderdale: “Service by the Sea”
    • 2018 – Denver: “Service at a Mile High”
    • 2017 – Philadelphia: “Freedom through Service”

    Submit your theme ideas here
All submissions are due by February 25.

The NYCMA Conference Committee will narrow the selection to 3, and those 3 themes will be voted on by the GSC Conference committee.  The person who wrote the selected theme will receive one registration to attend the CMA General Service Conference in 2023 in New York City.

Once we have a selected theme, we will be looking for artists and designers to help create our logo. Thank you for being of service!

  • COVID-19 7th Tradition Collection

    Collection of 7th Tradition

In recognition of social distancing protocols being adopted to reduce risk of transmission, NYCMA offers some suggestions to encourage collection of 7th Tradition via an electronic alternative.

A group’s Treasurer or Chair may set up a Venmo account for the meeting, being absolutely sure to set the participant settings to private.

During this period, as fewer fellows may be able to participate in person, offering Venmo as an option to allow for 7th Tradition collection may help to keep the fellowship on firmer ground for the coming year.

As always, you can still contribute individually to NYCMA by PayPal or Credit Card here: NYCMA Individual Donation
